seymour house
1999
The Seymour House on the
banks of the Goulburn river
provides a simple retreat for a
busy Melbourne family.
A single sloping roof form
unifies the various components
of the house. The central open
living areas are bounded by a
vast fireplace and double
height gallery off which the
bedroom and ancillary spaces
open. To the north it spills out
onto a timber deck stepping
down towards the river.
