kew house
2005
The Kew House transforms a
simple Edwardian villa into a
rich living environment for a
family of four.
The original house is
reconfigured to provide
bedrooms and a study area,
whilst a new addition to the
rear wing houses the living
and kitchen spaces. The new
areas form a bold composition
of grey rendered masonry and
rich timber detailing.
Smaller timber and glass bays
are inserted into the old house
to expand the existing rooms
and provide a clear link
between new and old.
